Meet SUDO: Every Model, Hundreds of Agents, Behind Your Own Walls

Part 3 of 3. Everything in this series, assembled into one product, with the data kept under your control.

A private server room representing SUDO running AI behind a firm's own walls

Step back and look at what real, safe AI actually takes. You need the right model for each job, the ability to read and write over text, your own documents grounded in so the answers are about you, workflows for the predictable work, agents for the open-ended work, and all of it kept off public tools when the data is sensitive. Assembling that yourself means juggling vendors, subscriptions, keys, and security reviews. SUDO is the shortcut, and it is the through-line of this whole series.

Key Takeaways

  • SUDO is an AI Platform product from Gravitas. It gives a regular business the same AI capability the big firms have, without handing data to a public chatbot.
  • It has three parts: the Agents that do the work, and two homes to run them, the Cloud and the Box.
  • Cloud is Protected (isolated, never trained on). Box is Private (nothing leaves the building). We never blur those two words.
  • The same agents and the same models run in either home. You choose by how private the work needs to be.
  • It maps cleanly onto everything in parts one and two: models, LLMs, grounding, workflows, agents, and privacy.

So what is SUDO?

SUDO is an AI Platform product from Gravitas, an AI and digital experience agency. The whole idea is to give a regular business the same AI capability the big firms have, without handing your data to a public chatbot to get it. Most explanations present SUDO as a stack of price tiers. It is simpler than that. SUDO has three parts that work together: the Agents that do the work, and two places to run them, the Cloud and the Box, depending on how private you need to be.

  • Agents. A library of hundreds of ready-built AI specialists, roughly one for every job and profession, from drafting client letters to summarizing case notes to chasing 90-day follow-ups. These are the workers. You do not build them, you put them to work.
  • Cloud, "Protected." A hosted platform where those agents run, all on one subscription with every model included. Your prompts and data live in your own isolated space and are never used to train any model. Far stronger than a public chatbot, though it still runs on infrastructure SUDO operates. Priced like normal software: free to start, then modest monthly plans.
  • Box, "Private." A physical machine that sits inside your office and runs the same agents, except nothing ever leaves the building. No cloud, no outside vendor, no third party touches the data. It is a one-time appliance you own outright. This is the flagship, and the only posture that fully removes vendor risk for your most sensitive work.

The distinction worth memorizing: Cloud is Protected, Box is Private. Those are two different promises, and we are deliberate about not blurring them. Protected means isolated and never trained on. Private means it physically never leaves your walls. The same agents run in either one.

AGENTS hundreds of ready-built specialists, one for nearly every job run them in either place SUDO CLOUD Protected Hosted by SUDO, your own isolated space Never used to train any model Free to start, then modest monthly plans SUDO BOX Private Runs on a machine in your office Nothing ever leaves the building A one-time appliance you own

The Agents are the workforce. The Cloud and the Box are two homes for them, the same specialists either way. You choose the home by how private the work needs to be.

One router, every model

Remember the model problem from part two, that no single model is best at everything? SUDO curates the best model for each kind of job and labels them by role, General, Coder, Translate, Reason, and Vision, so you never have to track version numbers. An Auto setting reads each request and sends it to the right one for you, and SUDO swaps in better models as they are released. SUDO runs through your documents to do the work in front of it, and then that material stays yours.

Why this matters in your world

Firms that handle sensitive information, law firms, CPA firms, and frankly anyone in human services handling client data, often cannot paste that information into public AI chatbots. Bar association guidance like ABA Opinion 512 and tax rules like IRC Section 7216 say client data has to be protected. We laid out that compliance case in why professional services firms can't use cloud AI, and the architecture behind the appliance in how on-premises AI actually works. SUDO's answer is to keep all the capability while keeping the data under your control. If ChatGPT is a public library, where anyone working there could glance at what you check out, then SUDO Cloud is that same library with a private room reserved in your name, and SUDO Box is your own library inside your own locked office. Same books either way. The difference is who else can see what you are reading and writing.
